By Passionate Class, who on the track won two Breeders' Cup Races (Mile & Turf) amongst other HoTY races in a career over three seasons. He had 57 starts, and 25 of those were wins! He was a strong racehorse, and went on to become a successful sire. His progeny include G1 Passionate Flyer; Coronation Stakes and Princess Cup winner G1 Innocent Passion; G1 Miss Josephine; and G1 First Class.
Out of Lumiera, a grade five mare who had a relatively light career on the track. She is the dam of G4 Pardon My French and fast-improving G4 Man O'Glory. She comes from an impressive bloodline, being by True Enough and out of Ebony Gold Lady.

- True Enough is a stallion who requires no introduction at Final Furlong. He is a Hall Of Fame and Breeders' Hall Of Fame inductee. As a racehorse, he was a rival to Merry Bay King and won races such as the Melbourne Cup. In the breeding shed, be became a legend. He is the sire of horses such as HoF Radiance, G1 Dark Sunrise, G1 Kiss The True Heart and more. Many of his progeny have gone on to have foals of their own and his legacy continues to live on through those horses. True Enough is by Enough Is Enough and out of True Heart.
- Ebony Gold Lady is an original at Battle Brook Stables who retired as a grade four horse before going on to show that humble mares can produce star quality foals. She is the dam of the likes of powerhouse G1 Infinite Warcry, G1 Dazzling Dame, G1 Like A Lady and the currently well-performing juvenile Golden Envoy.
Rough and ready, Saxon is a colt who can (and often does) take a knock or two without it really phasing him. He is a boisterous horse, often tussling with others in the pasture and while not exactly domineering he does seem to be somewhat of a leader in the pasture. But while he does seem to form strong bonds with other horses, he doesn't seem all that bothered about people. In fact, he has very little time for them.
Saxon is a hard colt to work with. He crowds, steps on toes, and doesn't have much respect for people. When he becomes agitated he will kick and bite and make it known just how unhappy he is. He isn't quick to respond to food either, and appeasing him is more easily achieved by putting him in the pasture or otherwise giving him an outlet for his energy - a jolly ball has been known to help with this. After a hard day's work, Saxon enjoys a good hose down. In fact, he plays in the water stream and is almost a different horse in this setting.

Leg Type: Mid-Pack
Saxon loves the track, becoming excited prior to a race, and has been known to buck and rear on the way down to the starting gate. This can make loading difficult but once he is in the gate he gains more focus. His break is not phenomenal. This is not a horse that darts out of the gate like a bullet. Instead it is slower and he finds a spot in the middle of the pack where he stays throughout the race.
Saxon is a strong horse, he handles the bumps that can come with being in the middle of the pack well, and he holds his cool through the race slowly moving up from around half way through the race and never allowing the front runners to get too far ahead. Once he's in the stretch, a single crack of the whip and he is flying forwards, seeking gaps and making the most of opportunities. Saxon is a fiery horse and isn't about to be beaten easily, he may have a battle getting his head out front but he isn't about to give up.
